Lots of Wolves fans have been left buzzing as a transfer update emerged on Rafa Mir.
As per Marca, the striker will sign for Atletico Madrid ahead of Sevilla and a number of other clubs in the UEFA Champions League.
The fee quoted is €15m (£12.7m), and he will sign on a four-year deal after his exploits at the Olympic Games with Spain.
Mir has only played in four senior matches for Wolves throughout his career, so to get £12.7m for a player who is not guaranteed many games at all at Molineux seems like very good business from chairman Jeff Shi.
That money can now be used to reinvest back into Bruno Lage’s squad ahead of the new Premier League season, potentially in a new striker or in other key areas of the pitch.
