da imperador bet: Spurs’ fine start to the season has managed to avoid the striking crisis that so many expected they would encounter within the early part of the campaign.
da betsul: Harry Kane has played a huge amount of football throughout the last 18 months and The Lilywhites have no recognised senior front man to cover for the White Hart Lane hero. The impressive form of Dele Alli and Eric Dier might have been a brilliant positive for Spurs, but it doesn’t exactly help with the potential problems they would face if Kane were to be out for several games through injury.
One upside has been that Kane was forced play himself back into form when he went through a drought earlier in the season and Spurs now have the Harry Kane of last season punishing defences.
We at FFC think is is a necessity that Spurs add someone who can take some of the workload off of the England international and Moussa Dembele would be ideal, wouldn’t he?
Here are FIVE reasons why..
Driving Harry into the ground
Any England fan should be worried that Kane is going to be worn out before the Euros in France this summer.
Kane is not getting any respite and his admirable work rate is beginning to become a concern. Signing Dembele would give Spurs the chance to rotate, if anyone can bring themselves to take Kane out of their XI.
Squad profile
Dembele fits perfectly in with the current squad profile at Tottenham.
From Alli and Dier to Davies and Trippier, the squad is short of over arching egos and is a squad of ambitious youngsters who are looking to impress on the biggest stage.
Goals Goals Goals
Goals win games, just so you know, folks.
Harry Kane is back to his prolific self, but Spurs will be concerned if his goal scoring drops off again.
Dembele has nine goals in the Championship already this season and he would take some of the goal expectancy off of Erik Lamela, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.
Tinkering Poch
The addition of a second recognised striker gives Pochettino a whole new world of options to tinker with in his squad.
If he wants to throw the kitchen sink and push Dembele up along side Kane it can change the whole system the team is playing in, or he can drop Kane off into a deeper role.
Squad harmonising
Unlike Super Mario, Pochettino is renowned for valuing squad harmony rather highly.
The addition of another young player with high ambition is unquestionably going to help this, but, most of all, Dembele, because of his current reputation, is unlikely to throw his toys out the pram if he is seen as second fiddle to Harry Kane.
