da imperador bet: Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to praise Christian Benteke, despite watching their side suffer a 3-1 defeat to Everton on Saturday afternoon.
da blaze casino: Both the Eagles and the Toffees went head-to-head in Saturday’s early kick-off, although things didn’t start too well for Roy Hodgson’s men as Bernard handed Everton an 18th-minute lead.
The second half started in brighter fashion for the south Londoners when Wilfried Zaha played in Benteke, who fired low under Jordan Pickford – however, goals from Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin meant Palace went home with a defeat.
However, the Eagles’ goalscorer looked sharp and could’ve had even more goals – the Belgium international hit the bar when the ball ricocheted off his chest from a corner, while he had a point-blank header phenomenally saved by Pickford.
The former Liverpool striker also made two key passes and won a huge seven aerial duels, while also making one tackle, one interception and two clearances.
Let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying…
To kick off the reaction, @gazbod said that if anyone was looking for a scapegoat, Benteke isn’t one as he delivered a “archetypal number nine performance” against Everton.
Jamie Russell then agreed with that point by saying that the 29-year-old “done well today” – however, this fan did concede that the forward’s first touch is “still like an elephant” but had praise for him nonetheless.
Elsewhere, these two supporters also sang Benteke’s praises.
Danny said that he thought the Palace No.17 was “brilliant” at Goodison Park.
Chrissy Palace then added that it looked like the former Aston Villa man “had a very good game” against Ancelotti’s side.
Lastly, @cpfcriley said that Benteke has looked good “for the last three games he has played” – high praise indeed.
Then, Bristol Palace also said that the striker was “looking good” against Everton before demanding that the team is set up to get the most out of him.
Someone’s got to own them: Who do these incredibly unwanted PL records belong to?
