Charlton capped off a fantastic campaign at Wembley Stadium on Sunday by lifting the League One play-off trophy, thus securing their long-awaited promotion to the Championship having been relegated to the third tier in 2016.
The Addicks’ success is built on a phenomenal team spirit and they needed it to come back from one-down at the weekend but the SE7 outfit are not without individuals who can win games all by themselves – Joe Aribo is one of those players.
The versatile midfielder has surely attracted interest from higher up the EFL this term having chalked up 10 goals and five assists across all competitions and Charlton will have a job keeping him at The Valley for next season, with the 22-year-old’s current deal set to expire this summer.
The indoor football skills in the video below have to be seen to be believed…
The player showed his influence in the final third against the Black Cats by combining well with Lyle Taylor and Anfernee Dijksteel before the former squared to Ben Purrington, who applied the finishing touch for the Addicks’ equaliser against Sunderland.
If Charlton are to succeed in the second tier next term, holding onto Aribo will be near essential and these fans know it…
