da prosport bet: Arsenal midfielder Denilson has fuelled transfer speculation by refusing to rule out a possible move away from the Emirates.
da doce: The 22 year-old midfielder told Brazilian newspaper O Globo: “I am presently happy with Arsenal but I am a professional player and I can never discard anything in my future.”
German side Wolfsburg are thought to be interested in the young midfielder as are Arsenal’s upcoming Champions League opponents Barcelona.
The good form of players such as Samir Nasri, Jack Wilshere and Alex Song has meant that Denilson has found his first team opportunities limited this season. He has currently played only 373 minutes in the Premier League and has picked up three bookings in the eight games in which he has featured.
Denilson signed for Arsenal in 2006 after making only 12 first team appearances for Brazilian side Sao Paulo. Once described by Arsene Wenger as: “a little bit in between Tomas Rosicky and Gilberto”, Denilson looked set to make a big impact for the Gunners last season before suffering a back injury which kept him out for around two months. In over 100 games for the club, Denilson has scored 11 goals.
